My First Day: Moving in to Bay View

As my wife and I were moving into our first home together, these nosy snowbirds, who I later found out were the presidents of the home owners association for Bay Hill and Bay View, stopped by in what I assumed as a neighborly attempt to welcome us to the neighborhood. Instead they walked in with out permission and proceeded to tell us how it was against the covenant for me to have a Black Lab and that they would notify the police if I didn't pick up my dog's feces. They treated me as if I was some sort of country bumpkin who was not civilized enough to know that I was responsible for my dog's excrement. Later I would come to find out that there is an elderly couple in Bay Hill that owned a Golden Retriever ( who is still around today). The next day I was walking my lab in one of the cul-de-sac (sorry for my spelling) when I ran into the snowbirds again and they informed me that I was not allowed to walk in the cul-de-sac because it was private property. These people are arrogant. Besides being arrogant, they also have much nicer green areas (we have none) as well as fresh pine straw and well manicured lawns all while paying the same dues we here in lowly Bay View do.They are doing this off of our backs and we are sick of it. In the next few days we will show through photographic evidence just how different the two communities (which are connected by streets and Home Owners Association) are. It is time for a change and an end to ineffective, elitist leadership in the Neighborhoods of Bay View and Bay hill.
